Is Your Lifetime Goal BIG Enough To Light A Fire Within You?
I realised the other day that I had achieved my lifetime goal.
.
That goal was set a long time ago and took me a long time to achieve.
.
I hadn’t even realised that I had achieved it.
.
But I had realised that I had stagnated.
.
I had stopped progressing.
.
I had stopped moving forward.
.
My lifetime goal was to be content, worry-free, and free from the pain of depression, anxiety and addiction.
.
I had been chasing that for a long time.
.
There were times that I never thought I would achieve it.
.
And then I did, and didn’t even realise.
.
I guess I was so wrapped up in the feeling of joy I was experiencing, I completely forgot that it had been a lifetime goal of mine.
.
And that is why I had stagnated.
.
I no longer had a long-term vision in place.
.
Yeah I had goals/dreams, but they were things that I wanted to achieve in 1 month to 1 year.
.
They were also financial, business or possession related.
.
And that was the problem.
.
They didn’t set me on fire.
.
In order for goals to light a fire in you, they have to be HUGE.
.
So big that deep down you’re thinking “is that really possible in a lifetime”.
.
When you have goals this BIG, you will never stagnate because they will take a lifetime to achieve.
.
And in order to not feel overwhelmed by a goal that big, all you need to think about is the next step.
.
What’s the one single next step that you need in order to move one step closer to that GIANT goal.
.
That’s all you need.
.
When you do this, you don’t feel overwhelmed.
.
You don’t procrastinate because of fear.
.
You don’t get paralysed because there are too many things to think about.
.
It keeps it simple.
.
And simple is always the best path to take.
.
Why overcomplicate when there is no need to.
.
Keep it simple and you avoid procrastination, overwhelm and paralysis.
.
Have you stagnated in life?
.
Maybe you have achieved a lifetime goal but have yet to realise it.
